Terror spreads across East Lake golf course after play adjourned
Six spectators were rushed to hospital in Atlanta after lightning struck East Lake Golf Club, soon after play had been postponed in the 3rd round of the Tour Championship.
The PGA Tour confirmed subsequently that their injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Players had been evacuated from the course at 4.17pm with lightning in the neighbourhood.
As is typical, spectators usually remained on the grounds in anticipation of the game restarting sooner than later.
